Online: Irina Haluschak, is a very creative bead artist who just was recognized for preserving and promoting the art of beadwork, an intangible cultural heritage at a special event “GERDAN: Heritage of Ages”, Verkhovyna 2020.

I enjoy seeing her latest projects on her Facebook page. They range from reproductions of old traditional sylyanky and gerdany to fun modern earrings.
Irina’s constantly moving between traditional and contemporary. Lately she’s she’s done time-lapse videos of intricate netted beadwork to share how the patterns within are created.

Her peacock variations illustrates she’s not afraid to play with color!!
